Lewis & Clark Sports Facilities

Lewis & Clark’s full complement of athletics facilities, located in and around Pamplin Sports Center, are open for recreational use, during posted hours*, by students, faculty, and staff with a valid L&C Identification card. Lewis & Clark students, faculty and staff may purchase athletic facility passes for their dependents at the Physical Education & Athletics main office during normal business hours.

Neighborhood passes are available for purchase from the Campus Safety office. Neighborhood passes are required for non-Lewis & Clark affiliates who wish to use ANY of the Pioneer facilities. 

Minors are not permitted to use the Lewis & Clark sports facilities without direct adult supervision. Children 12 and under are not permitted in the weight room or fitness center.

 Pamplin Sports Center

Pamplin is the home of Pioneer basketball and volleyball. The facility has three full basketball courts which also serve as volleyball courts and indoor practice facilities for several intercollegiate teams. The gym seats 2,300 in comfortable padded bleachers. | Locker Rental

Pamplin Weight Room & Fitness Center

The Pamplin Sports Center houses a 3,600-square-foot, fully equipped weight room


Eldon Fix Track & Fred Wilson Field at Griswold Stadium

Located immediately west of the Pamplin Sports Center, Griswold Statdium is the home of Pioneer football, women's soccer and track & field. 


Huston Sports Complex

Located just down the hill from the main campus, behind the law school, is the home of the Pioneer softball and baseball teams. Both fields enjoy full dugouts, hitting tunnels, scoreboards, and spectator seating.


Zehntbauer Swimming Pavilion

The Pioneer swimming pavilion houses an eight-lane, 25-yard pool with one and three-meter diving boards.


Tennis Dome

 Immediately north of the Pamplin Sports Center is the home of Pioneer tennis. The tennis dome features four fully covered courts.


 Milo McIver State Park

Located near Estacada, McIver is the home of Pioneer cross country. Originally designed as an 18-hole golf course alongside the Clackamas River, it was obtained by the State Park Bureau after the developer abandoned it just prior to completion.


 Estate Pool & Tennis Courts

In addition to the Zehntbauer Swim Pavilion and Tennis Dome, there are other recreational opportunities with the original estate pool (outdoor) and tennis courts.


Boathouse at Oaks Park

The official practice site of Pioneer crew, the boathouse is located on the Willamette River. The Pioneer's host home meets both on the Willamette River and Vancouver Lake.



Training Room

The Pioneer training staff are housed in the co-educational training room. The training room is used for intercollegiate athletics and is staffed by two full-time certified trainers, a part-time assistant trainer, and student-trainers. It is located in the Pamplin Sports Center next to the Weight Room.
