HILLSBORO, Ore. -- Coming off a season with the most conference wins since the reinstatement of the program in 2004, freshman forward Julia Markmann garnered All-NWC Honorable Mention, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Markmann established herself as an offensive leader early on, scoring her first goal against Carroll in the Pios' second game of the season. In her first season with the Pioneers, she led the team with 53 shots, the highest individual shot count in a season since 2015. Markmann's shot count also puts her at third in the conference, one of two freshmen to make it into the top five in the category. She had three games in the season with five shots, and logged four goals and had four assists for 12 points. Three of her four goals were game-winners.
The Pioneers have had a selection to an All-NWC team every year since 2008.
